The outcome of true
confession
whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and
he in God. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath
given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent
the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 1 John 4: 15,13,14.
An earnest plea to my unconverted brethren.
How did you discover Jesus to be the Son of God? Mum and dad
told you when you were a toddler? It was not so with Peter. It was a revelation
granted by the Father of Jesus Christ.
Yet you boast as so many in assembly fellowship do that you
have always believed this.
Our toddlers know what the devils knew. It is not enough to
give some kind of mental assent. After all, your parents might have been Hindus
or whatever You might have with the same
filial affection believed in Lord Krishna.
Owning Jesus Christ to be the Son of God requires an act of
faith in accordance with your known grasp of prophetic Scripture and through
the revelation of the Spirit of God. It
will result in repentance and conversion.
You may be one of our chief Brethren preachers. You may be
morally perfect. You may be a loveable soul. You will perish in your sins without
a Biblical confession.
